The barnacle is a one of a kind cottage with tons of character and only a few steps from the ocean. Think “tiny house meets the Atlantic Ocean.” It’s nestled into a natural swail in the topography which gives it a nice private feeling with up close and personal “to-die-for” views and access to the beach. At high tide you are literally eye level with the water. Enjoy a glass of wine, cook lobsters, roast s’mores or better yet - all three, and right on the beach to boot!

Sleeps Four

The Barnacle is best for families of four and under, two couples, or anyone who just loves access to the water and wants a one-of-a-kind, “cozy” and authentic Maine cottage on the beach. There are two bedrooms off the back of the cottage with a queen bed in the master and two twin beds in the guest bedroom. The Barnacle has a cute and very functional kitchen again with a beautiful view of Flood’s Cove at sea level as you brew your coffee in the morning or make your cucumber sandwich for lunch or cook lobsters on the beach for dinner with family and friends. There is a dining room table and a cozy living/sitting room and nice bathroom with shower.

Ten Feet From High Tide

You can use the kayaks and paddle boards provided by Flood’s Cove or keep your own on the beach just a few feet from the cottage. If you are a swimmer, you will love the Barnacle for your morning swim or afternoon cool off. There is an outside hot/cold shower provided to rinse off before you settle down to read a book or getting dressed for the evening. The front of the Barnacle faces the ocean and contains multiple large windows from which to view the open ocean as you survey Flood’s Cove, sit and relax, or watch beautiful sun sets as sublime colors paint the sky and clouds overhead with fleeting majesty.
